  January 8th Edition
Welcome to the Madison County Amateur Radio Club website.  A mission of the club is to promote amateur radio by way of educational programming and activities.  MCARC is an affiliated club with the ARRL.  Membership in the club is open to all licensed amateur radio operators whether they belong to the ARRL or not.  MCARC also provides the KE8RV Memorial Repeater (147.285 MHz) as an open repeater.  It's located in London, Ohio with three additional remote receive sites throughout the county
January 2012 Club Meeting

The next MCARC Monthly Meeting will be on Wednesday, January 11th at 7 PM at the the Madison County Engineer's Office, located on US-42 just south of I-70. 
This meeting's agenda will be a demonstration of how radio equipment is aligned, calibrated and performance checked.  Members can bring their own radios for performance checks and minor adjustments.  Also, explanations of the various specifications and how they affect radio performance will be discussed.  The optional pre-meeting dinner will begin at 5:30 PM  at the Country Pride restaurant, located across the street from the Engineer's office, next to the truck stop.
All members and guests are invited.

Other Upcoming Events

The next monthly Club breakfast will be on Saturday morning January 28th at 9 AM at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City.  Meet in the lobby at 8:45 AM.

License Exam Schedule
The Madison County VE Team has set up several
License Exam sessions during 2012.  The next exam will be held on:
    
      March 1, 2012 - 7 PM

The exam session will be held at:
     Madison County Engineer's Office
     825 US 42 NE
     London, Ohio 43140
This is located between McDonald's and Wendy's on US-42 just south of I-70 .
Talk-in on the 147.285+ MCARC repeater.
Walk ins are always welcome.
Exams are free!

Tuesday Evening 2M Net

The club 2 meter Get Together Net is held each Tuesday evening at 8 PM on the 147.285 repeater.
All amateurs are welcome and encouraged to check in and join us for interesting topics and the latest club news.
