Congratulations

Congratulations to Don Fuhr - K8KSM (formerly W8LJ) on his new callsign.  Don is a proficient CW operator, and his new callsign honors the famous (and now retired) CW Coast Station KSM.  Coast stations like KSM used CW to broadcast regular bulletins of news, weather and other general information to ships at sea, and relay business and personal messages to and from individual ships. Station operators also monitored the international distress frequencies for calls from ships in trouble.
